Super Eagles to get N27m from Nigerian billionaire businessmen Dangote and Otedola for every goal scored from semi-finals AFCON 2019

Nigeria's senior national team have received a host of financial pledges following their exploits at AFCON 2019.   The Super Eagles of Nigeria will get N27m ($75000) for every goal scored from the semi-finals of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) from Nigerian billionaire businessmen Aliko Dangote and Femi Otedola.  

Jay Jay Okocha Disappointed about Musa substitution.

N igeria legend, Austin Jay Jay Okocha has admitted that he was a bit disappointed after Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr, substituted Vice-captain Ahmed Musa in Nigeria’s 2-1 victory over South Africa at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, quarter-final on Wednesday.   Ahmed Musa came off for Levante star, Moses Simon in the second half of the match, but Okocha noted that the former Leicester City forward was a big threat to the Bafana Bafana defence with his pace.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will on Wednesday, June 26 continue their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) campaign with a game against Guinea.  Nigeria will be looking to seal qualification to the next round with a win following a 1-0 victory over Burundi in their first game in Egypt 2019.  Guinea who had to fight back to get a 2-2 draw against Madagascar in their first game will be looking to get their first win of AFCON 2019.
